New members are always very welcome at Rahoon/Newcastle GAA…Galway’s oldest hurling club and newest camogie club!
We are situated in the scenic townland of Tonabrocky, just outside Galway City (eircode H91 Y189) Our club incorporates a large catchment stretching from Boleybeg to Corcullen, taking in areas such as Knocknacarra, Newcastle and Rahoon. These areas have a large and growing youth population which is mirrored in our clubs membership.
We are very proud of our wonderful coaching teams and excellent facilities. As well as our full size pitch, juvenille pitch, ball alley and clubhouse, we are currently developing our second full size pitch which will cater for our ever growing club membership. Our coaches are committed to providing a safe, fun environment for all. We have a proud tradition of developing people and players based on our core values of honesty, respect, ambition, humility, loyalty and inclusiveness.
We strive to promote the game we love within our community with hurling and camogie for boys and girls from Junior Infants up. Fáilte roimh chách! So if your child is interested in hurling or camogie, they are welcome to come along and try out for free – we can provide all necessary equipment. Just get in touch with the coach (all contact details available here on our website) who will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have and let you know training days/times.
