Rahoon Newcastle GAA is one of the oldest GAA Clubs in the Country being established in 1889. Our Club has undergone a huge transformation in the last 30 years joining the suburb of Galway City, we established our Camogie section in 2016 and membership numbers have tripled to over 800 members in the last 5yrs. In 2017 John Hanbury became the first member in our club to win a Liam McCarthy medal with the Galway Senior Hurling team. We have continually invested in our facilities to provide the best resources possible for our community and are opening our second pitch next year to cater for our ever-increasing membership.As part of our Club fundraising, we are offering businesses the opportunity to enter a limited draw for €100 and to win a sponsorship package to the value of Five Thousand euros. The winners of the draw will become one of the main sponsors of our Intermediate team for the Championship of 2023 and all games for 2024. Our Intermediate team are competing in division two of the league and have competed in the last two county semi-finals. We are looking to go one step further this season in becoming county champions.The winner of the draw will become the main sponsor on the front of our jersey, with 2nd prize on the back. We will be including a charity partner on the sleeve of our jersey. Our Club will purchase all the gear being provided and will also use this fundraiser to reduce the loan on our new pitch development of €203,000.Our Club will acknowledge all entrants to the draw on a poster in the clubhouse and on all its social media channels and extensively throughout our membership, supporters, and wider community.We are extremely grateful for your support in helping Rahoon Newcastle GAA club. Your support helps us to continue our long and proud tradition of promoting Gaelic games, developing facilities for the youth of our area and to enable all our members to participate, develop and achieve their full potential in a safe environment.The closing date for the draw is Friday 16th June 2023.
